The games also keep a few things in your browser's local storage: your game in progress, your preferences, and your completion times. That's what lets you close the tab and pick up where you left off. Local storage isn't a cookie and is never sent to us — it stays on this device, and you can clear it, and the cookie, from your browser's settings.
We count page views to see which games people enjoy. The daily totals are recorded either way; the detailed per-visit record only while this is switched on.

The country comes from your IP address at the moment of the visit. The IP itself is never stored or logged — it's used to look up a two-letter country code and then discarded.
